Step 1: Get Started

Visit our website and fill out the Wedding Inquiry Form.

Step 2: Cupcake Tasting Box

We currently offer to-go Cupcake tasting boxes. They are $40 and are usually available once a month, depending on our schedule. Boxes include at least 5 flavors of cake and 8 -10 of our most popular fillings. After we receive your inquiry, we will email you with the next available pick-up date and an invoice.

Step 3: Pick Up & Taste

Pick up your tasting box in Bridgeport 60616 and prepare yourself to enjoy a lot of cake!

Step 4: Next Steps

If and when you're ready to move forward, we'll follow up to discuss your favorite flavors and the cake design. We'll send you a proposal via email. To book, a 40% retainer is due with a signed contract. The $40 tasting box fee can be credited to your balance IF you book within 30 days of your tasting.

What is a Cottage Bakery? 

We are now a Cottage business (home-based) bakery and a registered business with the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois.

Are you able to cater cake/dessert to our venue?

Please check with your venue to confirm that they allow Cottage businesses, but yes, we are licensed and insured!  

Do you have a minimum for wedding cakes?

For wedding cakes that require delivery, we have a $500 minimum for wedding cakes (before tax and delivery). We can accommodate smaller wedding cakes below the minimum if someone is able to pick up your cake from our kitchen (60616)

What does your pricing start at?

Simply designed buttercream cakes start at $8/serving, and increase depending on factors such as upgraded flavors, number of fillings, and most especially, the design! Fondant-covered cakes start at $10/serving.

When should we reach out to you about our wedding cake?

The sooner the better! We can only take a very limited number of wedding cakes each weekend, so ideally, we’d love to hear from you at least 4 - 8 months before your wedding. 

Do you offer Sweets Tables?

Yes! Custom desserts can be added as an upgrade to your wedding cake. We offer a variety of exquisite dessert cups, macarons, cupcakes, cookies, and more. Please request our Dessert Menu. Please let us know if you require delivery AND set up, which is an additional charge.

What is your payment/retainer policy? 

Wedding Cakes and Orders over $500:
A non-refundable retainer of 40% will be due upon booking. The retainer is non-refundable because it allows us to specifically reserve that day and time slot for your cake and will help cover lost revenue in the event of cancellation. 

Do you offer delivery for Weddings?

Yes, for three-tier or taller cakes and custom Sweets Tables, we offer delivery for an additional fee, which will be determined based on logistics and distance. Please let us know if you require additional set-up for a Sweets Table, which would be discussed separately. This must be scheduled in advance with our Cake Designer so that she is able to personally handle delivery. 

Is delivery complimentary?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer delivery for free because that takes away our time spent in the kitchen producing cakes. Each delivery is done by a skilled cake designer to avoid any mishaps.
